Volleyball Recap: Charles J. Colgan Extends Winning Streak to Five + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Charles J. Colgan had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Colonial Forge Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Sharks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Charles J. Colgan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-15, 15-12.

Leading Charles J. Colgan to victory were Elizabeth Robinson and Jasmine Belle Carrasco. Robinson had 22 assists and nine digs, while Belle Carrasco had six digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Belle Carrasco a new career-high in assists (20).

They weren't the only good servers: Charles J. Colgan was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 31 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Charles J. Colgan's win bumped their record up to 25-4. As for Colonial Forge, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 18-1.
