Basketball Recap: Beardstown Takes a Loss

If Beardstown was feeling good fresh off their 51-26 takedown of Astoria/VIT last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beardstown Tigers had to suffer through a 63-33 loss at the hands of the Central/Southeastern Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Beardstown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Central/Southeastern, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Beardstown Tigers duke it out with the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central/Southeastern, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Quincy Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
