Soccer Recap: Woodruff Wins Going Away Against Broome

Woodruff's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Broome Centurions. The result was nothing new for Woodruff, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Kaelyn Glass and Peyton Cox scored all three of Woodruff's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Woodruff is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five games. This is the second loss in a row for Broome and nudges their season record down to 1-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woodruff will square off against rival Greer Middle College at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Broome is set to challenge their familiar foe Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
