Basketball Recap: Davis Skates Past West Field with Ease

Davis entered their tilt with West Field on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the West Field Longhorns for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-32 win. Given the Darts' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Longhorns are ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Davis to victory were T'Maea Eteuati and Kate Willard. Eteuati went 10 of 22 on her way to 20 points along with eight boards and six steals, while Willard went 6 of 14 en route to 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiara Zwonitzer, who posted seven points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Davis was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Field only posted seven assists.

Despite the defeat, West Field had strong showings from Canyon Britt, who had nine points and five boards, and Ella Doxey, who put up ten points.

Davis is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for West Field, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Davis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-36 victory against American Fork on the 7th. As for West Field, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-42 defeat against Mountain Crest on the 4th.
