Basketball Game Preview: Liberty County Bulldogs vs. Altha Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Liberty County Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Altha Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Liberty County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.

Liberty County is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Malone just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Altha didn't have too much trouble with Wewahitchka on Thursday as they won 65-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Altha is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Liberty County, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-2.

Everything went Liberty County's way against Altha when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Liberty County made off with a 56-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
