Baseball Recap: Newberry Bulldogs vs. Spring Valley Vikings

Newberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Spring Valley Vikings by a score of 8-7.

Liam Davenport was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Marcos Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

On Spring Valley's side, Jacob S made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). S was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
