Basketball Recap: York Takes a Loss

York was the 48-42 winner over Poquoson when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The York Falcons lost 44-22 to the Poquoson Islanders on Friday. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

York dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Poquoson, they moved to 1-10 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. York will face off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Poquoson, they will square off against Tabb at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Poquoson is facing Tabb at the right time seeing as Tabb is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
