Volleyball Recap: Greeley West Comes Up Short

Greeley West saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Ignacio Bobcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16.

Greeley West's offense was headlined by Laney Palmer and Faith Karnitz, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Mya Salazar and her 12 assists. Palmer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Greeley West's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Ignacio, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Greeley West will venture away from home to square off against Fort Collins at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Ignacio, they will host Mancos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
