Volleyball Recap: Whiteland Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Whiteland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lawrence North Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Whiteland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-18, 25-21, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Lal Rin Mawia Ralte, who had 14 digs and two assists. That's the most assists he has posted over his last five matchups. Henry Zauk also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Whiteland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence North only served seven aces.

Whiteland's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Lawrence North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Whiteland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against New Palestine on the 1st. As for Lawrence North, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Pike on the 1st.
