Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats vs. East Limestone Indians
Westminster Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Limestone Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 9th.
Westminster Christian Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 15-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-8.
Addie Mcwhorter paced Westminster Christian Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Mcwhorter got some help from Azlyn Leatherwood and her 19 assists. Leatherwood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Westminster Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for East Limestone, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-12.
Westminster Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Ardmore on the 30th. As for East Limestone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Tanner on the 30th.
