Baseball Recap: Stadium Tigers vs. West Valley Rams
Stadium was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Valley Rams.
Stadium got a good showing from Elliot Hirl, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
Stadium's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for West Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stadium will square off against Kentwood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Valley, they will face off against Eastmont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
