Football Recap: Delta Piles Up the Points Against Moffat County

Delta won the last time they faced Moffat County and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs, posting a 42-8 win. The Panthers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Delta found their leader in freshman MACK Lockhart, who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.

Delta didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Damitry Tatman and SCOTT Floyd.

The victory made it two in a row for Delta and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 15 points in those games. As for Moffat County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Delta will host Coal Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Panthers 11.2, the Titans 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Moffat County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
