Baseball Recap: Ottawa Takes a Loss

Ottawa lost against Lansing on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cyclones fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-4. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 9-11-1. As for Lansing, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ottawa will venture away from home to square off against Tonganoxie on Tuesday. The Chieftains' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Cyclones' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lansing, they will challenge Bonner Springs on Thursday.
