Baseball Recap: Oakwood Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Oakwood dropped their record down to 7-6-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 6-1 to the Groveton Indians. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

As for Groveton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games.

For Groveton's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JACK SULLIVAN, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. TY TORREGROSA was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As of now, neither Oakwood nor Groveton have any future games scheduled.
