Charlotte had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They came out on top against the Fort Myers Green Wave by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Fightin' Tarpons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Charlotte took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12.

Ragan Davis paced Charlotte's offense, picking up eight kills. Davis got some help from Juliet Hurley and her 15 assists. Hurley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Charlotte's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Fort Myers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Coming up, Charlotte will be playing at home against Port Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Myers, they will head out to face off against Southwest Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
