Baseball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern fell victim to Oakwood and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 14-0 to the Lumberjacks. Having soared to a lofty 27 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northwestern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Wieneke, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Northwestern's loss was their 12th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Oakwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4-1.

Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Russia at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
