Baseball Recap: West Philadelphia's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The West Philadelphia Speedboys came up short against Boys' Latin Charter on Wednesday and fell 13-10. The loss put an end to the Speedboys' undefeated start to the season.

West Philadelphia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anderson Hilerio- Marte, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Even though they lost, West Philadelphia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .514 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Philadelphia fell to 2-1. As for Boys' Latin Charter, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

West Philadelphia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-11 win against Constitution on the 27th. As for Boys' Latin Charter, they will face off against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber at 3:15 p.m. on the 4th.
