Softball Game Preview: Central Yellow Jackets vs. Fort Knox Eagles

The Central Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to take on the Fort Knox Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Fort Knox likes a good challenge.

On Wednesday, Central made easy work of Waggener and carried off a 19-6 win. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 13 runs or more this season.

Metcalfe County hit Fort Knox with a six-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Hornets, falling 10-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The victory got Central back to even at 4-4. As for Fort Knox, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.

Everything went Central's way against Fort Knox when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Central made off with a 10-3 win. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
