Flag Football Recap: Santa Clara Piles Up the Points Against Mountain View

Santa Clara won the last time they faced Mountain View and things went their way on Monday too. The Bruins blew past the Spartans 34-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Santa Clara didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Chloe Boyes led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Santa Clara now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Mountain View, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Santa Clara and Mountain View could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Bruins will challenge Milpitas at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (379 vs. 71). Meanwhile, Mountain View (ranked 307th) will meet Los Gatos (ranked 70th) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
