Volleyball Recap: Saranac Lake Red Storm vs. Plattsburgh Hornets        
        
		
             If Saranac Lake was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of AuSable Valley last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saranac Lake Red Storm came up short against  the Plattsburgh Hornets on Tuesday, falling  3-0. The Red Storm have struggled against the Hornets recently, as their game  on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 Saranac Lake was not held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  third set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-11,  25-22.
 Several Red Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Rori Chenaille-Schenk, who  had six  digs and three  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Saranac Lake  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with ten  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in 22 consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 Plattsburgh's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sadie Walker, who  had eight  digs and three  aces. Walker is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served three or more in the last six games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Natalie Battinelli, who  had 19  kills and two  aces.
 Having lost for the first time  this season, Saranac Lake  fell to 2-1. As for Plattsburgh, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the  win, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Saranac Lake will challenge Northeastern Clinton at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Plattsburgh, they will take on Northern Adirondack at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
