Baseball Recap: Hilltop Comes Up Short

Hilltop suffered their closest loss since March 21st on Friday. They fell just short of the Olympian Eagles by a score of 6-4. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Hilltop's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Olympian, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilltop will head out to face off against Otay Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Olympian, they will venture away from home to square off against Mater Dei Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
