Basketball Recap: Huss Wins Going Away Against T.C. Roberson

The Huss Huskies strolled past the T.C. Roberson Rams with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 71-57.

Huss found their leader in sophomore Jaleel Smith, who went 11-for-18 on his way to 31 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. The matchup was Smith's seventh in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Antonio Griggs Jr., who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why T.C. Roberson lost, don't look at Dean Lowe. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 26 points and 14 boards. Lowe is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season. TJ Conley was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

The victory got Huss back to even at 1-1. As for T.C. Roberson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Huss wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-66 win against Charlotte Latin on the 28th. As for T.C. Roberson, they will head out to face off against East Henderson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
