Softball Recap: Alhambra Moors vs. Mark Keppel Aztecs
Alhambra had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-18 to make it five. They lost 15-0 to the Mark Keppel Aztecs. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Moors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
As for Mark Keppel, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6. The result was nothing new for the Aztecs, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
For Mark Keppel's part, Robyn Guitron was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Guitron has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.
