Basketball Recap: East Laurens Finds Playoff Glory Versus Model

East Laurens extended their postseason success on Saturday against Model. They strolled past the Model Blue Devils with points to spare, taking the game 73-59. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three matches in a row.

East Laurens was led to victory by Rashund Washington Jr. and Tylan Snead. Washington Jr. dropped a double-double with 30 points and 14 rebounds, while Snead went 8-for-10 to rack up 16 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. What's more, Snead also posted an 80% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Kemario Mitchell was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

East Laurens' record now sits at 20-6. As for Model, they moved to 20-6 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

East Laurens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-66 win against Putnam County on the 26th. Model does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
