Volleyball Recap: Peru's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Peru unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Northfield Norsemen, falling 3-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Norsemen from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Peru was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Northfield's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-23.

Addison Robbins paced Peru's offense, picking up seven kills. Robbins got some help from Addison Butt and her 14 assists. Finally, Alivia Ross kept Peru's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brinlei Swihart, who had 18 assists and three digs. Another player making a difference was Bella Myers, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Peru's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Northfield, their record now sits at 11-5.

Peru wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Eastbrook on the 20th. As for Northfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Rochester on the 18th.
