Soccer Recap: Manatee's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Saint Stephen's Episcopal last Friday, Manatee came back down to earth. The Manatee Hurricanes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braden River Pirates on Monday. The Hurricanes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Manatee's goal came courtesy of Lucas Felix, who's now up to 13 this season.

Manatee's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5-1. As for Braden River, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3-1.

Manatee will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmetto at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmetto will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last. As for Braden River, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cardinal Mooney will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Braden River surely won't give up without a fight.
