Recap: Mart Panthers vs. Penelope Wolverines
The Mart Panthers were the 84-34 winner over the Penelope Wolverines when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Mart was beaten by Penelope 83-38 on Wednesday.
Penelope's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Corson led the charge by scoring 29 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dylan Lednicky, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Mart's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Penelope, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
Mart will finish 2023 at home by hosting Bremond at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. Bremond is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. Penelope won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Abbott at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th.
