Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. The game between them and the Oelwein Huskies didn't end well, with the Columbus Sailors falling 62-46. One positive for the Sailors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oelwein, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Columbus will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cedar Valley Christian at 6:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Oelwein and Vinton-Shellsburg will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
