Softball Recap: Windermere Prep Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Windermere Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orangewood Christian Rams, sneaking past 6-5. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Vanessa Nawracaj made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over eight innings pitched. Nawracaj was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cierra Walker, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Samy Czachoroswski, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Windermere Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Windermere Prep will take on Trinity Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orangewood Christian, they will square off against Trinity Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
