Baseball Game Preview: South Lyon Lions vs. Milford Mavericks

For the first time this season, South Lyon will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Milford Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

South Lyon is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 15, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Saline, falling 9-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Daniel Lohmeier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those doubles marked the first that he hit this season. Sam Stoll was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Milford started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Bedford. They lost 11-4 to the Kicking Mules on Saturday.

South Lyon's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
