Softball Game Preview: Pittsford Panthers vs. Bishop Kearney Kings

The Pittsford Panthers will head out to square off against the Bishop Kearney Kings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Pittsford has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Pittsford sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Eastridge.

Our Lady of Mercy hit Bishop Kearney with a seven-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Kings lost 10-2 to the Monarchs. The match marked the Kings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bishop Kearney saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coral Enscoe, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Pittsford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Kearney fell to 5-1.

Pittsford skirted past Bishop Kearney 1-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Kings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
