Softball Recap: Zillah Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Zillah's offense. They lost 19-0 to the Kiona-Benton Bears on Tuesday. The Leopards have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Zillah's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kiona-Benton, they pushed their record up to 4-3-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zillah will host Tri-Cities Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Zillah is facing Tri-Cities Prep at the right time seeing as Tri-Cities Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Kiona-Benton, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wahluke at 3:00 p.m. on April 8. Wahluke has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.75 runs per game on average), something Kiona-Benton will no doubt try to take advantage of.
