Softball Recap: Leon Takes a Loss

Leon lost against Taylor County back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Leon Lions came up short against the Taylor County Bulldogs, falling 14-4.

Trinity Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Jailyn Nickeo was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Taylor County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Leon will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jefferson County at 4:00 p.m. on March 18th. Taylor County has already played their next matchup (against Dixie County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
