Volleyball Recap: Lubbock Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lubbock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They came up short against the Coronado Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Westerners were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Lubbock was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Coronado's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-21.

Lubbock's loss dropped their record down to 3-24. As for Coronado, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lubbock is set to square off against their familiar foe Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coronado will face off against rival Tascosa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
