Cypress Ridge is 2-8 against Cypress Creek since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rams will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Friday, Cypress Ridge had to suffer through a 54-13 loss at the hands of Memorial. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 839th, while the Mustangs are ranked 236th).

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek was beaten by Cypress Falls 56-17 on Friday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cypress Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Cypress Ridge strolled past Cypress Creek in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 31-17. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Cougars' Garland Wilburn, who rushed for 132 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 49 receiving yards.
