Soccer Game Preview: Chase vs. West Lincoln

The Chase Trojans will head out to face off against the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Chase has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while West Lincoln will arrive with five straight wins.

Chase fell victim to Shelby and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Golden Lions.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln kept a clean sheet against Piedmont Community Charter on Monday. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that the Rebels have won by exactly two goals.

West Lincoln pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for Chase, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Chase beat West Lincoln by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chase since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
