Baseball Recap: Neoga Extends Winning Streak to Two

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Neoga had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Edinburg Wildcats a 6-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

The team relied heavily on Carter Young, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Neoga is undefeated when Young posts two or more runs, but 9-11 otherwise. Garrett Ballinger was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Neoga's victory bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Edinburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

As of now, neither Neoga nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
