Deerfield's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Highland Park Giants by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Deerfield of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Deerfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Highland Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deerfield will welcome Grayslake North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland Park, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Antioch at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
