Football Recap: Kecoughtan Warriors vs. Granby Comets
Kecoughtan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 79-0 loss at the hands of the Granby Comets. The Warriors lost against the Comets in their previous head to head back in August of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 26-24 score last time.
Jshaun Reddin had a dynamite game for Granby, throwing for 202 yards and six touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Drevyon Tharrington, who gained 112 total yards and two touchdowns.
Kecoughtan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Granby, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kecoughtan will square off against Warwick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have been evenly matched recently as the teams are 5-5 against one another since August of 2014. As for Granby, they will have plenty of time to enjoy the win as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Norview at 7:00 p.m. on September 20th.
