Recap: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Kearns Cougars
There's no place like home for the Taylorsville Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 56-47 win over Kearns on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Taylorsville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Ella Wolfgramm, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marlee Reupena, who scored ten points along with six assists and five steals.
When it comes to explaining why Kearns lost, one person who can't be blamed is Iman Finau. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Finau is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Leila Pilimai was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
The win got Taylorsville back to even at 7-7. As for Kearns, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylorsville will take on Cyprus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kearns, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Jordan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
