Softball Recap: West Bloomfield Comes Up Short

West Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Stevenson Spartans, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Friday.

West Bloomfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MORGAN CHRISTIAN, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. CHRISTIAN has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. RYAN ALLEN also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

West Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Stevenson, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Bloomfield will square off against Kettering at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stevenson, they will take on St. Mary's Prep in a tournament on Saturday.
