League recap: Mission Oak extends winning streak with victory over Delano

East Yosemite recap November 13, 2013

Mission Oak extended the longest winning streak in East Yosemite this week by beating Delano, 39-7. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.

Mission Oak took down the Tigers 39-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Romello Harris was the best running back in the league this week. In 25 carries, he ran for 111 yards as Tulare Union bested Tulare Union.

5-foot-10 quarterback Kobe Portillo of the Mustangs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,624. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lalo Nevarez. The Porterville star has 33 catches for 782 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Mission Oak takes on second place Porterville. Mark Gambini's team topped Delano last week, while Porterville defeated Monache.
