Basketball Game Preview: Northgate Broncos vs. Amador Valley Dons

The Northgate Broncos will head out to challenge the Amador Valley Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northgate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.7 points per game this season.

Northgate is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Campolindo, sneaking past 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Broncos have posted since January 20th.

Northgate's success was spearheaded by the efforts of David Harris, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards, and Brady Gray, who posted 13 points. What's more, Harris also posted a 71% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nico Martin, who earned eight points.

Meanwhile, Amador Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Bishop O'Dowd on Tuesday, taking the game 61-48.

Amador Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Northgate, their record is now an identical 20-9.

Northgate ended up a good deal behind Amador Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2016, losing 62-45. Can Northgate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
