Soccer Recap: Owen Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Owen can now relate to. They fell just short of the Madison Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Owen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Madison earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Willow Glenn Stewart and Carlee Grace Stewart scored both of Owen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Owen moved to 9-8-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.

Owen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Shelby will roll in looking for their 24th straight win, something Madison surely won't give up without a fight.
