Basketball Recap: Regis Groff Piles Up the Points Against Montbello

Regis Groff won the last time they faced Montbello and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Regis Groff Fusion breezed past the Montbello Warriors to the tune of 64-21. The Fusion have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

Leading Regis Groff to victory were James Murdock and Javelle Taylor. Murdock dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds, while Taylor posted 12 points in addition to six boards and five assists. With that strong performance, Murdock is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game. Davonte Robinson was another key player, going 5-for-11 on his way to 10 points and three steals.

Regis Groff smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Regis Groff and bumps their season record up to 10-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Montbello, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-17.
