Carroll entered their tilt with DeKalb on Thursday with 14 consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with 15. They blew past the Barons 3-0. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Barons, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Carroll took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-9, 25-13.

Sinish Bailey paced Carroll's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bailey got some help from Sophia Gisslen and her 25 assists. Gisslen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for DeKalb, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll will take on Penn in a tournament on Saturday. As for DeKalb, they will challenge Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
