Basketball Recap: Guardian Angels Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Guardian Angels Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aquinas Monarchs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 54-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Bryant Stouffer was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds for Aquinas. Another player making a difference was Matthew Storm, who posted nine points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Aquinas, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic will head out to square off against Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Guardian Angels Central Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Aquinas, they will challenge Clarkson/Leigh at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
