Southeastern Local is 8-2 against Madison Plains since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Southeastern Local has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 11 straight defeats, while Madison Plains will come in with seven straight wins.

On Tuesday, Southeastern Local came up short against Cedarville and fell 8-4.

Eli Goodbar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Alderson, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Madison Plains hadn't done well against Fairbanks recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Golden Eagles walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Panthers.

Blaine Stingle was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Brayden Evans was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Madison Plains pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Southeastern Local, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Southeastern Local was able to grind out a solid win over Madison Plains when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
