Gatlinburg-Pittman proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 22) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Wartburg Central Bulldogs. The win was nothing new for the Highlanders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Gatlinburg-Pittman's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Wartburg Central, they moved to 8-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gatlinburg-Pittman beat the Bulldogs by a score of 12-0 later that day.
