Softball Recap: Shenango Extends Winning Streak to Three

Shenango waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Western Beaver Golden Beavers 8-2. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kennedi Lynn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brianna Aluisia was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Zoe Offie was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Shenango's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Western Beaver, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Shenango does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Western Beaver, they will challenge Blackhawk at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Cougars have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
